Since we are now entering an intense recording schedule over the next month for our new EP we are taking some time away from playing gigs for a while. Fear not, (Spirit Live) is releasing a full live show of ours in Mp3 format! If thats not enough, It will also be released in, wait for it…5.1 Audio! It is now posted on the SpiritLive.net website under the ‘Sadie May Crash Sessions’ for everyone to hear and download for free!!!
A bunch of new live videos from the show at the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern that we played a few weeks ago have washed up on our shore as well. What a great night it was, there couldn’t have been a better audience!
Here are a few videos we found looming around the internet:
And a link to the wonderful photographer Allison Janzen who documented the night!
Keep checking back to our blog, because there are some recording updates and new demos to be shared in the next couple days.
Have a great Victooorrrrrriaaa, Victorrrriiaaa, Victoria, Toria-day!

New Record In Sight!

Take a deep breath!
With much anticipation we are extremely excited to announce that over the next few months we will be gearing up to head back into the studio to record a brand spankin’ NEW RECORD!!! We just finalized the studios that we’re going to be working in as well as with who. It will most likely be a 5 song EP, yet we are sifting through mountains of material. There are about 10-12 songs ready to be worked on as we speak. As a bonus, while we’re making the demos of the new songs we will also be POSTING them on our blog! Songs posted may or may not be included in the final selection that will be going on the record, but it would be extra cool if some did! So be sure to keep checking our blog for updates on the recording process…photos, demo tracks and videos. Don’t miss out!

Also if you have been to any of our shows lately, you might have seen a new brightly coloured object peeking out of the merch table. We’ve decided to give our 2008 Self-Titled EP a makeover by re-mastering the songs and creating new packaging and artwork for a more up-to-date and fresher feel. Art all done by our very own Paige + Juliana. You can pick up a copy at any of our live shows!

The Waves, and Popping Brains
Last modified on 2009-01-17 19:31:57 GMT. 0 comments. Top.
In the high spirits of 2009, we’re kicking it off with a couple of very interesting shows. The 4th anniversary Pop With Brains, a Toronto classic, night of live art + live music + comedy, guaranteed to blow your mind every time. That will be happening just around the corner on January 23rd. We plan to hit the stage at 11:40, while the night is still young!
Also on February 8th we’re looking forward to ride the wave with our good friends The Machetes with the Toronto Wavelength Series at Sneaky Dees. You can check out more info about the series here.
We’ve also been getting very comfortable in our new practice space, getting crazy with the salvador dali inspired painting, and into the mood of bringing out some new material. More on that in a blog entry…pictures to follow as well!
Love,
Paige, Alex, Mike and Jason

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Last night’s MOD CLUB show was a great place for SMC to be for the countdown, thank you to the friends who made it out, and hello to all the new friends we made last night, you were a great audience. Smokey intro music, 2012 banter, “guitar strap wonder boy” Alex, megaphone preaching, guest floor tom players- Regan and Marcus, confetti rocket launchers… WHAT A NIGHT! The set ended with the spinning dancing insanity to the song “The Trip of 10,000 Tin Can Bees”. Those of you in the green room may recall our tongue twister moment trying to keep up with that one.
It’s been a great 2008, and 2009 has started with a bang. Here’s the newest Sadie character, meet Serge.

In the spirit of the holiday season we in Sadie May Crash decided to dig around in all our old treasure chests and dust off some shelved gems for your ears to taste! What we ended up digging up is a deliciously dark classic holiday tune sung by Alex in the key of GRINCH.
So consider it a gift from us to you!
Enjoy the new tune and Happy Holidays!

THE MOD CLUB
….The people that came out to The Mod Club to see us and fought through the lines of crazy button down shirt club kids are so wicked. Attendees don’t need to be reminded of how fantastic and INSANE of a night it was. A whirlwind heat of dancing, screaming, sweating and singing. Such a fun time! Thank you to everyone who came. The room was packed!
Here are some pictures that The Mod Club took (click here) to check it out!
SOUNDPROOF

Clinton’s + Sadie May Crash = SUCCESS!
Last modified on 2008-11-08 09:00:02 GMT. 4 comments. Top.
HERE WE GO!
Discoballs! Multi-Coloured lights! Twister! Dancing! Mindblowing Music! WHAT A SHOW! Clinton’s Tavern was taken over by awesome bands and fans. Thank you to the ever amazing Dead Sexy Sheila and Clouds (that look Like Things) for playing, and to everyone who came.
Here is a press clipping!
“After Clouds had finished their set, Sadie May Crash took to the stage and blew the crowd away. With an opener like “Fix + Repair”, how could you not get up and dance? Sadie topped my expectations and played better than I had seen them before. Their sheer onstage brilliance and charisma proved to be one of a kind. With up beat rhythms and versatility in songs like “Wrong Way Out” and “My Right, Your Left”, Sadie brings out the inner jive and swing in all of us. Paige Clarke’s vocals ring through the club with such range and intensity that she plants a seed in your eardrums that doesn’t leave. Backup vocals and guitar work by Alex Pulec, a perfect connection was made on stage. Grooving with the wonderful array of coloured lights and disco ball, Sadie May Crash looked as though they should be playing underground nightclubs in the 60’s. With catchy lyrics, songs you can dance to, Sadie May Crash showed the audience tonight that they deserved “Best Indie Rock” last week at the Toronto Independent Music Awards.” –Joel Chico, www.torontoindie.com
